Onshore Russian Crude Storage Increases

OIL

The volume of crude held in Russia’s onshore storage increased to the highest level since April at 2.06m tons, about 15m barrels, on 17 March according to Energy Ministry’s CDU-TEK unit data.

  • The data shows crude storage held by oil producer with no significant strategic crude inventories in Russia.
  • Russia had planned to cut oil production by 500kbpd in March from the January level of around 10.86mbbls but so far there is little sign of a change in oil exports or refinery runs.
