DOLLAR-YEN: Opened in Asia at Y113.74 toward the lower side of the Y113.48 to
Y114.24 range witnessed yesterday, where softer US earnings reports and
Republican in-fighting, threatening the prospects for tax reform, pressured the
dollar slightly lower. There is no significant economic data from Asia likely to
influence trading, US rate yields and regional equities will be garnered for
direction, Nikkei future were last -0.28%. There are several large option
expiries for today; Y113.00-05($1.86bn), Y113.50(646mn), Y113.60-61($1.09bn) and
Y113.95-114.00($887mn), that may act to contain the near term range. Key-support
is located at Y113.25 (38.2% fib Y111.65-Y114.24), while initial resistance lies
at Y113.86 (50% fib on yesterday's Y114.24-Y113.48 decline).
