Orban Insists Hungary Will Not Send Weapons to Ukraine

  • Prime Minister Orban said in an interview on Friday that he had held successful talks at the European Union summit in Brussels the previous day, MTI report, and that Hungary maintained its position that it would not send weapons to Ukraine. The prime minister added that he had successfully prevented the diversion of Hungary's EU money to Ukraine.
  • Hungarian Minister for National Economy Marton Nagy said in an interview to Xinhua Thursday that he expects Hungary-China cooperation to "skyrocket." He said Hungary and China share the same pragmatic attitude towards cooperation, emphasising that Hungary is a great place connecting the West and the East.
  • There are no economic releases on the docket today. Next week, Trade Balance, Industrial Production, Retail Sales and CPI data will all cross.
