HUNGARY
  • Prime Minister Viktor Orban will headline the CPAC conference in Budapest, which will also feature far-right leaders from the Netherlands and Spain. The event was scheduled to begin at 08:00BST/09:00CET.
  • Cabinet Minister Gergely Gulyas will hold a briefing at 10:00BST/11:00CET following yesterday’s government meeting. As a reminder, Prime Minister Orban’s cabinet discussed potential government intervention to rein in rising fuel prices.
  • The NBH’s policy statement offered few surprises on Tuesday, as the central bank maintained its cautious tone and reiterated that rate cuts will be made in smaller steps as part of the new phase of policy.
