Pares Gains In Late Trade, AUD/NZD Below $1.07

NZD/USD prints at $0.6245/50, the pair was ~0.5% firmer in yesterday's dealing.

  • Kiwi pared gains into the close as weakness in US equities, led by a decline in regional banks, saw the USD pare losses.
  • NZD/USD closed below its 200-Day EMA ($0.6261) , after falling around ~0.7% from Thursdays session highs.
  • Bulls target the March 20 high at $0.6303, from here they can target 2023 highs at $0.6538. Bears first look to break $0.62.
  • AUD/NZD fell ~0.5%, the cross prints a touch below the $1.07 handle.
  • S&P500 finished ~0.3% firmer, however the index fell 2% off session highs. DXY was ~0.2% firmer. 2 Year US Treasury Yields fell ~10bps.
  • The domestic data calendar is empty today.
