Pelosi: House Won't Take Up Bipart Infra Bill Until Large Dem Package Passed

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivering her weekly presser (link). Confirms that the House will not take up the Senate bipartisan infrastructure bill (if it is passed) until the Senate passes budget resolution to allow reconciliation process for larger Democrat infra package as well.

  • Pelosi: ""While we are eager for it to pass, we will not be taking it up until the Senate passes the reconciliation bill"
  • On the 6 Jan investigation commission, Pelosi says on the rejection of 2 Republican candidates for the Commission that Jim Banks (R-IN) and Jim Jordan (R-OH) have "...taken actions and made statements that would have impacted the integrity of the committee...We have tried to have a bipartisan commission..hopefully one day that opportunity will present itself" and "35 House Republicans and seven of their senate colleagues voted for a bipartisan commission to investigate 6 Jan - but not enough to pass it. Now the select committee will move forward instead."
