POWER

Poland’s front-quarter power contract has edged up slightly on Thursday to end a four-session downward trend as European emissions and coal prices are currently up on the day. Limited domestic power plant maintenance over July could place downward pressure on power prices during delivery.

  • The contract opened at PLN404.99/MWh and traded as high as PLN406/MWh before dropping in the afternoon.
  • The Q3 24 power contract has traded 14 times for 14MW, up from 12MW exchanged in the previous session.
  • API 2 Q3 24 up 0.6% at $109.5/t
  • December 2024 EU ETS contract is up 1.87% at €70.76/t CO2e – tracking TTF prices.
