Polish-Ukraine Capacity Auction for June Open
POWER
130MW of capacity on the unilateral auction between Poland-Ukraine (Zamosc-Dobrotwor) is on offer for June delivery, data from Polish transmission system operator PSE show.
- The closing day for submitting bids is set on 28 May, with the result on the same day.
- In the previous auction for May, 260MW was on offer with only one participant taking part. However, there was no winner due to no valid bids.
- No auctions have occurred between Poland’s substation near Rzeszow and Ukraine’s Khmenlnytska nuclear power plant station since January due to day-ahead auctions being held on the Joint Allocation Office (JAO) platform.
- Ukraine intends to increase the capacity that it can import from EU power states, the energy minister said on Friday. The government is currently in talks about maximising its import capacity.
