The latest EU ETS CAP3 EU auction cleared lower at €69.50/ton CO2e, compared with the previous auction at €70.17/ton CO2e on 28 August, according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio was at 1.62 compared to 1.61 in the previous session and above the 5-year average of 1.612.
  • There was a total of 22 bids from 25 bids on 28 August.
  • The mean price was €70.68/t CO2e, with the median value at €69.17/t CO2e, down from €70.38/t CO2e and €69.85/t CO2e, respectively.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is trending down, with falling coal weighing. The Spot EEX EUA last traded at €69.50/t CO2e down from the last price of €69.79/t CO2e in the previous session, according to EEX.
