French December power is following a similar trend as neighbouring Germany today with forecasts still suggesting milder weather in Paris heading into mid-December, with somewhat firm wind in France next week weighing down the front week – adding further downward pressure on the monthly contract. The contract is down 2.68% on the week compared to its previous settled price last Friday.

  • The latest 6-10 day ECMWF weather forecast for Paris suggests mean temperatures have been revised up on the day over 29 Nov-4 Dec to be above normal for most days over 1-10 December.

  • France’s hydro balance has been revised lower on the day to end at 1.29TWh on 13 December, compared with 1.31TWh forecasted a day earlier.
