All of France’s energy sector union have called for industrial action on 5 December of the country’s gas and electricity sectors, demanding better salaries amid the latest rounds of negotiations according to LeMonde. 

  • Strike action officially begins on 4 December 21:00CET.
  • France’s EdF on Monday morning has issued a 48h strike notice from 3 December 14:00 CET until 5 December 21:00 CET, remit data showed.
  • Previous industrial action at EdF has significantly curtailed output at nuclear and hydropower power plants.
