Power Issues Impacting Kazakhstan Production

Kazakhstan’s daily oil production fell further to 209.3k tons on Aug. 14 compared with 215k tons the day before because of a power outage according to official figures.

  • Prior top the power issues, production stood at 232k tons on Aug. 10.

  • Officials from the country said yesterday that the power cuts the country is facing may impact the oil production forecast for the rest of the year.
  • "Due to power disruptions we are currently seeing a decline in oil production in the Mangistau Region, which, in turn, will affect the oil production forecast for the rest of the year," the ministry said.
