POWER: Nordic Grid Keeps aFRR Procurement Schedule Unchanged in December

 Nordic grid companies have decided to keep the procurement scheduled for the automatic frequency restoration reserve (aFRR) unchanged in December, Fingrid said.

  • The total volume will be approximately 300MW during most hours and around 200MW during the night hours on weekdays and weekends.
  • Additionally, approximately 400MW in the morning hours on weekdays and about 400 MW in the late evening hours for downward balancing on weekdays.
  • Fingrid’s share of this reserve will range between 30-60MW and has the option to acquire a part of Estonia’s as well.
