POWER: Nordics to Implement 15-minute Intraday Trading from 18 March 2025.

The Nordic's will apply a 15-minute trading period on the intraday market starting on 18 March 2025 for delivery the next day, with Sweden aligning its imbalance prices to the Nordic schedule, Svenska Kraftnat said today.

  • Additionally, Europe is expected to finalise a timeline to switch to a 15-minute trading period on the day-ahead market by December 2024.
  • The move comes after, Nordic TSOs Energinet and Svenska kraftnat will introduce counter trading in the intraday market in March 2025 to protect the ageing Konti-Skan interconnector between Jutland and Sweden.
