POWER: Poland Proposes €110/MWh Cap for Offshore Wind Support

Poland is proposing the maximum price of support given to offshore wind farms and fed into the grid at PLN471.83/MWh (€110.05/MWh), with the first 4GW auction planned for 2025, the ministry said, cited by ISB News. 

  • The draft regulation has been submitted for consultation, with the law necessary to be enforced no later than 4Q24 to meet the 2025 auction deadline. 
  • Poland will auction and additional 4GW in 2027 and 2GW in both 2029-31. Auctions following will be dependent on the progress of wind development.
