POWER: RenewableUK Suggest Changes to UK CfD Auctions

POWER

 RenewableUK has outlined reforms to the current government CfD auction allocation process, suggesting applying “realistic reference price and load factors” and raising the length of contracts to 20 from 15 years, it said.

  • Additionally, the group recommends setting specific targets for each technology in future auctions – this would “provide long-term certainty to developers and the supply chain,” it added.
  • The next auction round is expected in 2025.
