Power Restored at Exxon’s Joliet Refinery in Illinois: Reuters

ExxonMobil has restored sufficient power at its 251.8k b/d Joliet refinery in Illinois to begin the restart process after a Tornado took the facility offline July 15, Reuters said.

  • "We have sufficient power to assess the damage to our equipment and to begin the work to restart operations," a refinery spokesperson told Reuters.
  • ExxonMobil gave no indication on the timeline for Joliet’s restart, but IIR told Reuters it could take around three weeks.
