According to the approval trackers of FiveThirtyEight and RealClearPolitics, President Biden is currently experiencing his highest level of approval since early January.
- The RCP tracker shows Biden with an approval of 43.4%, a number briefly touched on October 15, but a higher rate of disapproval in Oct means his current net approval (-8.9%) is stronger.
- The 538 tracker shows a similar story, with Biden's 43.1 approval the strongest since January.
- Both trackers indicate that the strong Democrat performance at November's midterms is being reflected in Biden's approval rating.
- The poor 2024 campaign launch of former President Donald Trump and the lack of Democrat opposition to a second Biden term are also likely contributing to Biden's improved standing.
