Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Ukraine's Ambassador to the UN to request a special meeting of the United Nations Security Council after Russian airstrikes hit a maternity hospital today.
- Zelensky said: "Murder of civilians, ruining of civilian infrastructure are acts of terror."
- The request comes as Russia continues to target Ukraine's energy infrastructure with a sustained missile barrage. Today, Ukraine's nuclear operator Energoatom said all three of the nuclear power plants which remain under Ukrainian control disconnected automatically from the electricity grid after shelling.
- Kyiv Independent reports: "After a brief emergency shutdown, the nuclear power plants are back on yet are still disconnected from the grid."
