Price And Wage Pressures Moderate In June - CFIB

  • The CFIB small business barometer summary index declined 2.1pts to 54.1 in June after what had been the highest reading of the year.
  • Notably, expectations for price gains over the next year slipped 0.4pps to 3.3%, its softest since May’21.
  • Wage expectations also cool, seen climbing 2.9% over the next year from the prior month's pace of 3.2% and the lowest since February of last year.
  • Landing on the open muddies the FI impact, although GoCs slightly outperform Tsys on the day in the front end to belly which feels consistent with the softer survey.
