Public Prosecutor's Office Completed Phala Phala Investigation-News24

The Office of the Public Prosecutor has completed a probe into the Phala Phala scandal and drafted an interim report, News24 reports citing a letter, dated January 20, from the office's investigation branch to the opposition African Transformation Movement party leader.

• In the letter, the office's acting executive manager advised "that the investigation into this matter has been completed. The investigation team has already drafted an interim report."
• Reminder that last month South Africa's parliament decided against launching an impeachment case against President Cyril Ramaphosa, while the ruling African National Congress party elected him for another term as its leader.
• The Public Prosecutor's Office said that its report is now undergoing quality assurance and will be served to the relevant parties in due course.
