  • Public finance data worse than expected with a higher deficit and downward revision to the January surplus (which itself was lower than expected).
  • Will look into the drivers here, but there was a lower income tax take in January than expected, and as these data have disappointed again it seems unlikely that we will have seen the rebounded expected to get the Jan+Feb sum back on the expected track.
  • Should be only minimal (if any) impact on markets, however, given that there are much bigger events today (BOE the big one for UK Markets, see our preview here)
