Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, held a call today to discuss OPEC+ and bilateral issues.
- According to a Kremlin readout, "both sides gave a positive assessment of the achieved level of friendly relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia."
- On oil, the Kremlin claims the two leaders considered the current situation in the world oil market in detail, and emphasised "the importance of further coordination within the framework of OPEC Plus."
- The readout notes satisfaction that OPEC+ countries are "consistently fulfilling their obligations in order to maintain the necessary balance and stability in the global energy market."
