Putin Says Russia Considering Withdrawal from Grain Deal

  • Putin said at a meeting with military reporters on Tuesday that Russia is considering withdrawing from the grain deal, Tass report. He drew attention to the fact that most of the Ukrainian grain, contrary to the agreements, goes to prosperous countries of the EU. "We understand this. We deliberately agreed to it in order to support developing countries - our friends, and in order to lift sanctions on our agricultural sector. We were deceived once again," he said.
  • Moscow accounted for 46% of India’s oil imports last month, according to data from analytics firm Kpler, a significant leap from less than 2% before the invasion of Ukraine.
  • Chinese authorities continue to show interest in peacekeeping efforts to resolve the Ukrainian problem, Tass report citing Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko. "We had the impression that the Chinese side was still interested in continuing peacekeeping efforts. We'll see what they are in the near future," he said.
