Russian President Vladimir Putin is looking for a suspension of weapons to Ukraine as part of the ceasefire deal Bloomberg sources report this morning ahead of the upcoming Tuesday call with Trump.

  • While Russia wants to halt all weapons deliveries to Ukraine, the minimum aim is that US aid should stop Bloomberg sources report.
  • Earlier Bloomberg header: “*PUTIN IS SAID TO WANT ALL ARMS TO UKRAINE HALTED IN TRUMP TRUCE”
  • Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the call is expected to begin at a time between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Moscow.
  • Putin last Thursday said he supported the U.S. proposal for a pause in the conflict but that a number of conditions needed to be met. Markets have been speculating this week what the demands are and whether Putin is willing to negotiate.
  • On the energy front, TTF is showing some weakness ahead of talks over potential easing of sanctions. Oil meanwhile is more focussed on China stimulus, trade wars, sanctions, Middle East escalations and OPEC+ barrel returns to show any noticeable direction on Russia talks.
