Putin-We Will Keep Hitting Ukrainian Infrastructure

Speaking at a military awards event,Russian President Vladimir Putin states that the country's military will continue to seek to degrade Ukraine's energy and utility infrastructure, this despite near-universal condemnation from other nations. Putin stated that "There's a lot of noise about our strikes on the energy infrastructure of a neighbouring country [Ukraine]. This will not interfere with our combat missions,"

  • Putin acknowledged the impact of the strikes, which have left large areas of Ukraine without electricity, heat, or water as temperatures plummet. However, he argued they were only in response to the bombing of the Kerch bridge linking Krasnodar Krai in Russia with Crimea, an attack on power cables near the Kursk nuclear power plant, and the supposed halt in water supply to the annexed Donetsk region.
