Rate edges lower still to the worst levels...>

AUSSIE
AUSSIE: Rate edges lower still to the worst levels of the session as the pair
attempted, but failed, to crack the 200-dma at $0.7290 last week, and now eyes
support from both the 50- and 100-dmas at $0.7169 and $0.7174 respectively. Any
fall through here would open the Jan25 lows at $0.7076 before seeking any
further direction. The Reserve Bank of Australia rate decision becomes the next
point of focus (although retail sales and trade balance figures for December are
also due this evening), where the bank are expected to keep rates unchanged.
There may be further focus on the monetary policy statement from the bank due to
follow on Friday.
