AUSSIE: RBC note there are 2 key numbers in the Capex survey out tonight at
0030GMT. They expect Capex in Q3 to have risen by 1.5% consistent with firmer
capital imports and non-residential approvals in recent months. Secondly, there
will be an update of businesses' spending plans for FY2018-19 with the last
estimate showing a modest upgrade to total spending plans underpinned by a
decent upgrade to around 7% for non-mining capex plans. RBC expect the fourth
estimate of CAPEX for the current FY to be revised higher (AUD110bn) continuing
the recent trend and consistent with the buoyant nature of the business surveys
and confidence.
