  • Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is now heading up efforts among some Republican senators to reach a bipartisan deal on the Biden administration's infrastructure plan, following the inability of the White House to come to an agreement with Shelley Moore-Capito (R-WV) in earlier talks.
  • Senior Dems increasingly calling for the White House to jettison bipartisan efforts to pass multi-trillion dollar 'American Jobs Plan' and get it through the Senate via reconciliation (wouldn't need GOP support and bypasses filibuster). No guarantee, though, of support from moderate Democrat Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).
