Russia Considering Refinery Adjustments to Counter Attack Impact

Further on Shulginov Comments - Russia is discussing the possibility of increasing fuel production at refineries where it has not been stopped, as well as adjusting the schedule of scheduled repairs to combat runs hit by Ukraine strikes in recent weeks according to Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov based on Interfax reports.

  • "There is a potential to increase fuel output at refineries where production has not been halted. We are discussing with enterprises the adjustment of the schedule of scheduled repairs at refineries due to incidents at a number of refineries. Additional measures for stable fuel supply are related, among other things, to increase the output of motor fuel and the removal of logistical constraints," he said.
  • Shulginov added that "the forecast for the volume of oil refining in Russia remains at a level close to last year (275 million tons - IF)".
