Russia Pulls Out of Ukraine Grain Export Deal

RUSSIA
  • Russian Foreign Minister Rudenko didn’t explicitly rule out a return to the Ukraine grain deal when questioned by journalists on Sunday, and said Russia expects to be in contact with the UN and Turkey soon. However, his comments indicated that next steps would only be carried out after a full investigation into Saturday’s drone attack, with no mention of who would conduct such a probe.
  • Elsewhere, the China-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Coordination in the New Era has maintained a momentum of high-level development, Chinese President Xi said in a congratulatory message to the 65th anniversary of founding of China-Russia Friendship Association on Saturday, state broadcaster CCTV reports.
  • Russia failed to increase its oil production in October, which remains at 1.47m tons per day. This is below the OPEC+ quota and slightly less than the September figures, Kommersant report.
  • Looking ahead, retail sales data, unemployment rate figures and PMI data are all on the docket this week, though there are no major economic releases today.
