Russia's Oil Product Exports Fall on the Week

Oil product exports from Russia in the week to Dec 24 fell 666kb/d to 2.5mb/d according to Bloomberg based on Vortexa data.

  • The decline was led by a slump in shipments of diesel, naphtha and fuel oil.
  • The four-week average however rose by 157k b/d to a seven month high of 2.6mb/d with increased oil processing at Russian refineries.
  • Weekly diesel and gasoil exports fell to just over 1mb/d with no observed shipments to South America although cargoes to the Middle East rose to a 13-week high.
  • Naphtha shipments fell by 36% to 382kb/d, gasoline and blending component exports fell to 23kb/d, fuel oil dropped by 17% to 692kb/d but jet fuel shipments more than doubled to 106kb/d.
