The earlier Ukraine drone strikes on Russia’s Tuapse refinery has resulted in an emergency shutdown according to Reuters sources.

  • According to one of the sources, the drones hit the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production unit at Tuapse while the crude distillation unit (CDU) remained undamaged.
  • The source said the damage could peotnailly be bypassed and the refinery restarted in some capacity soon.
  • The refinery has a nameplate capacity of 250,000 bpd.
