Russian Clean Product Imports Surge in March

Russian product exports spiked in early March, led by diesel exports out of the Black Sea and residue exports.

  • Russian diesel and naphtha cargoes are now arriving at a high rate into their new destination markets around the world according to Vortexa as the cargoes went on longer voyages.
  • MR tankers are the dominating vessel class with LR1 tankers coming in more strongly as well.
  • European diesel imports are sharply down in early March, but range-bound cracks and high crude imports/runs hint at ample supplies.
