DIESEL: Russian Diesel Exports Fell 6% m/m in February
DIESEL
Russian diesel and gasoil exports fell by 6% m/m in February according to LSEG as stormy weather adds to ongoing drone strikes on refineries impacting infrastructure and production.
- Total diesel and gasoil exports from Russian ports fell last month to around 3.6m metric tons while Turkey and Brazil remained the main importers.
- Exports to Turkey fell 11% m/m to 1.1m tons and to Brazil fell 10% m/m/ to 0.47m tons.
- Diesel and gasoil exports to African countries fell nearly 17% m/m to about 1m tons.
- Russia's offline primary oil refining capacity was 2.28m tons in January rising to about 54% of capacity at 3.5m tons in February.
- Russia shipped a diesel cargo to Syria onboard a tanker under US sanctions in the first known direct supply since 2013, Reuters reported last week.
- Russia’s ultra low-sulphur diesel from Primorsk are set to reach 1.8m tons in March compared to 1.73m tons scheduled for the shorter month of February.
