OIL PRODUCTS

{zr} - West African diesel imports have surged over the last three months as a result of Russian flows redirecting post EU sanctions according to Vortexa. Overall diesel imports into West Africa in May are likely to reach a multi-year high.

  • The coast of West Africa is an important location for diesel ship-to-ship transfers where it is divided into smaller parcel sizes and either discharged into West African destinations or moved to Latin America.
  • West Africa is likely to emerge as a key hub for redistributing Russian diesel cargoes post EU sanctions.
