Russian Diesel Shipments from Primorsk Rose to 2.05m tons in Jan

Russian diesel-type shipments from the Baltic port of Primorsk increased in January to the highest on a seasonal basis since at least 2017 at 2.05m tons according to Bloomberg based on port report and ship tracking data.

  • The exports equivalent to about 497kb/d were up from 460kb/d in December and about 396kb/d in January 2023.
  • Russia is planning to slightly lower diesel exports from three western ports in February amid lower refinery runs. Diesel loadings from Baltic and Black Sea ports are set to fall 0.9% month on month to around 754kb/d, according to Kpler data.
