Russian Domestic Fuel Market Well Supplied

Gasoline and diesel fuel for the Russian domestic market remain steadily high according to a government statement following a meeting on the situation held by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak with suppliers.

  • Gasoline exports have fallen by more than a third from February last year the statement added.
  • "Shipments of diesel fuel to the domestic market have increased compared to February last year and production of its winter type has risen compared to February 2023. Prices for gasoline and diesel fuel on the retail market remain stable," the press release said.
  • Markets keep a greater eye on the outcome of the regular Russian domestic fuel market meets after export bans last year – more impactful for the diesel markets because of the greater volumes exported vs gasoline.
