Russian Offline Refining Capacity Revised Higher: Reuters Calculations

Russian offline primary oil refining capacity has been revised up by 14% to 4.5mn metric tons from the previous plan according to Reuters calculations. It is still down 9% from September based on the revised number.

  • “Idle primary oil refining capacity is seen declining by 63% next month to 1.642 million tons” according to Reuters.
  • The number was revised because of an extension for CDU-7 at Gazproms Omsk refinery for the whole of October.
  • Rosnesft Saratocv refinery also extended CDU-6 maintenance by 16 days until October 28.
