Russian Oil Products Exports in October Fell to 17-Month Low

Russian oil products exports on 1-28 October fell to 2.2mbpd, the lowest level in 17 months, as export restrictions paired with seasonal refinery maintenance weighed on export, Vortexa data, cited by Bloomberg show.

  • Exports are down by around 3% from September levels and October 2022 levels.
  • Diesel shipments during the period fell to 372kbpd, while gasoil exports rebounded to 515kbpd. Combined diesel and gasoil exports stood at 887kbpd, slightly up from September levels.
  • Gasoline and blending component shipments stood at 51kbpd during the period, less than a third of September levels as gasoline exports are still banned.
  • Jet fuel shipments declined by 70% on the month to 17kbpd, the lowest since June.
  • Fuel oil exports edged higher on the month to 703kbpd, the highest since July.
  • Naphtha exports rose around 5% month on month to a five-month high of 414kbpd.
