Russian Refinery Runs Bump to 9-Week High: Bloomberg Sources

Russian refineries crude-processing volumes are at their highest levels in nine weeks according to Bloomberg sources.

  • Russia’s refining facilities processed 5.49 million barrels a day in the week ending June 14, nearly 194,000 bpd higher than a week prior.
  • “Russia is restoring its daily refinery throughput as the spring maintenance season is largely over,” according to Kpler analyst Viktor Katona.
  • Russian oil-processing volumes so far this year peaked at 5.78 million barrels per day in the first week of April.
  • High levels of Russian refinery maintenance have obscured how much Russia has cut production by with unprocessed volumes ending up on the export market.
