Russian Seaborne Crude Exports Fell Last Week

Russian seaborne crude exports averaged 2.7mbpd in the week to 19 November, down by 580kbpd from the week prior according to Bloomberg.

  • The four-week average crude oil shipments averaged 3.23mbpd, down by 200kbpd from the previous period.
  • Shipments to Asian customers and those that are not showing a final destinations fell to 2.73mbpd in the four weeks to 19 November, down from 2.93mbpd the prior four weeks.
  • Seaborne exports to China stood at 1.17mbpd in the four weeks to 19 November. Flows signaling India averaged 1mbpd in the same period.
  • Russia pledged to cut crude and products exports by 300kbpd below the May-June average until the end of the year. Seaborne flows should be at around 3.28mbpd – if exports would entirely be cut on crude.
