Saudi Arabia Asks Russia For More Transparency On Oil Output Data

Saudi Arabia has asked Russia to be more transparent in publishing its oil production data, Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, said.

  • Saudis are ‘fed up’ with OPEC members not meeting oil output goals, the minister said.
  • During Sunday’s OPEC meeting, underperforming member states saw their production targets adjusted downward, while the UAE’s targeted production quota was revised upwards.
  • Prince Abdulaziz said OPEC would appoint three independent parties from 2024 to evaluate members’ production levels.
