CABLE: Saw an extended recovery high of $1.3994 in NY Tuesday before it eased
off to $1.3958 into the close. Asia picked up the buy baton and took rate up to
$1.3996, finding support at $1.3980 on its initial correction. Ahead of Europe
rate rallied to $1.3993 before stronger sales emerged into Europe as traders
adjusted positions ahead of the UK response to Russia's failure to respond to
accusations concerning the recent spy 'poisoning' in Salisbury. Rate dropped
back to $1.3971 and holds heavy at writing. Support seen into the NY pullback
low of $1.3958, a break to open a deeper move toward $1.3940. A light domestic
data calendar with most attention set on US Retail Sales data.
