SWEDEN: Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Jan came in at 7.1% vs 6.9%
Bbg poll and 6.6% in Dec.
- This is still an important number for Sweden but bear in mind that there is
now increased focus on the PES number released a week ago due to the problems
with the methodology for the official print. Note that showed an uptick in the
unemployment rate from 4.0% to 4.1%. But the official print increased by 0.5ppt
from 6.6% to 7.1%. So this is disappointing but not disastrous.
