The deputy speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Elias Bou Saab has confirmed to Al Jazeera that the final text of an Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire agreement has been reached but Lebanon remains "cautious until they publicly approve it in Israel," because of "[previous] experience with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu" per Roi Kais at Kan reporting on X.
- Bou Saab told Al Jazeera that, "within 60 days the IDF will withdraw from Lebanese territory, and the Lebanese army will take its place. In addition, after this period there will not be any weapons or rockets left for Hezbollah in the entire area south of the Litani River."
- Bou Saab confirmed previous reporting that, "the five members of the committee to oversee the implementation of the agreement are the United States, France, the United Nations, Lebanon and Israel - and this time, unlike in the past, the representative of the United States will be the head of the committee."
- White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters a short time ago: “We’re close... The discussions … were constructive, and we believe that the trajectory of this is going in a very positive direction. But, yeah, nothing is done until everything is done.”
