Security Minister Warns Of Potential Fallout From ICJ Lawsuit

  • Security Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said that security services have been placed on high alert amid concerns over the possible fallout from the government's decision to file a lawsuit against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Ntshavheni did not mention any specific countries that could seek to destabilise the country. This comes after President Cyril Ramaphosa told his party that Israel''s supporters might be seeking to "pursue a regime change agenda" in South Africa. This rhetoric might be related to the upcoming national and provincial elections.
