Chad Pergram at FOX News tweets: "The trial of former President Trump is still scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 9, at 1 pm et, despite major changes in the former President's legal team. When asked about potential changes, two sources said that such a push to delay the start of the trial is up to Mr. Trump's legal team. That said, various briefs and counter responses are due over the next several days from both sides. As of now, the trial is locked in for next Tuesday. And, it would take the approval of all senators to move any of the deadlines for the briefs and the intended start of the trial next week. Regardless, Democrats appear loathe to move anything. Mainly because they don't want dithering by the counsel of the former President. Moreover, the Senate is trying to wedge in this trial next week so it can get back to dealing with a COVID relief measure later in the month."
