CABLE: Settled between $1.2654-95 through the Europe and NY sessions, the rate
currently trading around $1.2662. Fall out from the announcement to step down as
Conservative party leader last Friday by PM May (in turn opening the position of
PM to the new leader after voting commences after June 7), European election
results Sunday being watched. Ruling Conservative Party hopefuls look to be
hardening their line on Brexit, in an attempt to attract back Brexit Party
voters, which is seen by some opening the door for a hard no-deal Brexit a
little wider. Traders will also watch European parliament developments after the
recent vote to see who gets the top jobs, and their stance on Brexit terms.
Cable support noted at $1.2648 ahead of $1.2625/20 and the May23 low of $1.2606,
with demand expected into $1.2600. Resistance remains at and above $1.2700,
stronger into $1.2750.
