Spot USD/ILS trades +20 pips at 3.8160, with local financial markets closed for Yom Kippur, extending its sideways trend. From a technical perspective, a break above Sep 8 high of 3.8612 is needed to reignite bullish momentum. Conversely, bears look for losses towards 3.7520, the low print of Aug 24.

  • Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan told the UN General Assembly that regional security in the Middle East depends on a "just, comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue" and made veiled criticisms of Israel's Palestine policies, without mentioning the country directly. The speech came after Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed optimism about the potential for the normalisation of bilateral relations.
